Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, I collect the information shown in the comments form, the visitor’s IP address and the browser user agent to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service if you use it. The privacy statement page of the Gravatar service can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.
Media
If you are a registered user and upload images to the site, you should avoid uploading images containing EXIF GPS location data. Visitors to the site can download the images from the site and view the location data.
Cookies
When you leave a comment on my site, you can indicate whether your name, e-mail address and site may be stored in a cookie. I do this for your convenience so that you do not have to re-enter this information for a new response. These cookies are valid for one year.
When you visit the login page of my site, I will set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted as soon as you close your browser.
Once you log in, some cookies are stored in connection with your login information and screen display options. Login cookies are valid for 2 days and cookies for screen display options are valid for 1 year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will be saved for 2 weeks. Once you log out of your account, login cookies will be removed.
When you edit or publish a message, an additional cookie is stored by your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and only contains the post ID of the article you have edited. This cookie expires after one day.
Third parties do not have access to the cookies I have placed.
You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, you can also delete all information that has previously been stored via the settings of your browser.
Google Analytics
For this website I use Google Analytics. For example, it is possible that cookies are placed from Google Analytics with the aim of collecting data in order to ultimately give you an optimal user experience. By collecting data via Google Analytics, I gain insight into the use and these statistics can be applied to my website. The information thus obtained is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as these third parties process the information on behalf of Google. I have no influence on this. I have not allowed Google to use the Analytics information obtained for other Google services. The IP addresses are also anonymized.
Embedded content from other sites
Posts on this site may contain embedded content (for example, videos, images, messages, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves exactly the same as if the visitor had visited this other site.
These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with this embedded content, including recording your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that site.
Who I share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long I keep your data
When you leave a comment, that comment and the metadata of that comment will be saved forever. This way I can automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments instead of having to moderate them.
For users who register on my site (if any), I also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal information I hold about you, including any information you have provided to me. You can also request that I provide all personal data
